Visit us at the very first Main Street Farmers’ Market of the year!
We will be offering samples of some local tree nuts, selling food trees ready to go in the ground, and spreading the word about Ottawa’s Hidden Harvest.
For those of you who have purchased trees from us and chose to pick them up, this is your opportunity to do so.
Our trees are quite light and can be easily transported by car or taken home on the bus… just be careful not to bend or break the branches! We will also be providing tree care guides and planting instructions provided by Tree Canada.
As an added bonus to those of you who selected to pick up your tree from us on Tree Pick-Up Day (rather than selecting the boring old ‘delivery within Ottawa city limits’ option), we will be sharing some samples of locally available fruits & nuts, telling stories of last year’s harvests and showing our excitement for what’s coming up this fall.
Roots are wrapped with damp newspaper, a plastic bag and a burlap sack. Trees are quite light and can be easily transported by car or taken home on the bus… just be careful not to bend or break the branches!
