All medium roast coffee sales across Bridgehead (up to $5,000) on Wednesday, October 29th 2014 will be donated to Hidden Harvest as part of Ernst & Young’s ‘EY Connect Day’.
In celebration of Community Coffee Day, and to give thanks for the community support, Hidden Harvest Ottawa will be offering free samples of small-batch, unique preserves made from the fruit we rescued this year.
We will be highlighting the wares of several wonderful local food companies, including Local Apple Butter by Top Shelf Preserves, Wild Grape & Crabapple Jelly by Lowertown Canning Company, Elderberry Syrup by michaelsdolce, and more!
You can find us at six different Bridgehead locations, at the following times:
8:00 – 9:30 AM Preston (130 Anderson St @ Preston)
8:00 – 9:30 AM Elgin (282 Elgin St @ MacLaren)
8:00 – 9:30 AM Second Ave (750 Bank St @ Second)
10:00 – noon Fairmont (1024 Wellington St @ Fairmont)
10:00 – noon Gilmour (366 Bank St @ Gilmour)
10:00 – noon Beechwood (131 Beechwood @ Putman)
The funds received by Hidden Harvest Ottawa from Community Coffee Day will be used to train more Neighbourhood Leader Volunteers in communities across our City and provide them with the harvesting equipment, knowledge and support they require to rescue local food from going to waste.
By enabling more volunteers to lead Harvest Events we will be able to put more local, organic food to good use in our community.
We hope you’ll help us by spreading the word to all of those coffee lovers out there!
